SSS Current Lease/Practice Ride Information

Benefits of leasing:
1. gives you first priority for riding the horse you love the most
2. if you want to use one of your practice days for a clinic w/ an outside instructor, you only pay the ring fee: $15
3. you can use your practices to make the most of your lessons and further your riding so much faster than just lessons alone!

**Please inquire for current pricing

*Rides/lessons must be taken each month.
*Since horses are used for lessons, practice ride days/times must be arranged each week. Preferably at the start of the month, practice days will be scheduled as well as lessons. Please try not to change days if possible! But, please feel free to ask for make ups

If a missed lesson can not be made up during the month, only 1 lesson may be carried over/month. If you have to miss rides one week, we can try to arrange makeup days but only if there is time in the lesson schedule.

There are no extra expenses tacked on unless the horse you are riding gets hurt due to a careless act on your part. I’m happy to explain or give an example. If you are competing and the horse you are riding needs stud holes, I will ask you to cover as this is an additional expense that the horse would not need otherwise. I will ask for contributions for dentals and shots in the spring since it is such a hard time of the year with each horse costing an additional $350+ not to mention needing new spring shoes. Any extra help is greatly appreciated!

*If you make the commitment to lease for a month (or more), there is no “refund” or carry over if you go on vacation or have to miss your rides for whatever reason. We understand that the benefit of leasing is that you don’t have a full commitment to owning a horse but if you make a commitment to us to use our horse, we base that horse’s expenses on the lease fee coming in. They still need to eat, get their vitamins, have their feet done, vaccinations etc. even if you are not able to ride.

Thanks for your understanding!
