Assistant Instructor Grace Griffin
Grace has been riding since the age of 4 when her grandfather paid for her first riding lessons and she has been addicted ever since. Grace started riding saddle seat but after 11 years she got the jumping bug and came to SSS in 2014 to pursue eventing. After a year with Kara, Grace realized she had a strong passion for Dressage. She helped bring along SSS's lesson pony Jazzie in her dressage career but when it was time for Jazzie to retire, Grace bought her first horse Owen to pursue her Dressage dreams. They are currently working toward their USDF bronze medal.
In her senior year of high school, Grace wrote and published a book about her struggles and triumphs with social anxiety. Through writing her book, she came to the realization that she wants to help more people like her and pursue a career as an animal-assisted therapist.
Grace was thrilled when Kara offered her the chance to teach SSS beginners and get a jumpstart on the skills she will need for her future career.
