Assistant Instructor Britt Halter
Britt Halter joined the SSS team as an instructor in 2018, with over 30 years of riding and horse experience.
Having received riding instruction during her childhood in Germany, she discovered her passion for teaching and training dressage during her college years in Utah, as a working student under FEI level trainer Gary Lawrence.
Since then she has worked at equestrian facilities in Utah, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Sweden.
In 2004, Britt realized her lifelong dream of owning her own farm , Golden Key Stables, in PA, where she boarded 30 horses and instructed riders ages 3-70. After 12 years of successfully running her own business, she and her horse Summer relocated to New Hampshire. Sharing Kara’s philosophy about horse care and sense of community made Britt an easy fit for the Sea Star crew.
Britt’s greatest passion is found in the teaching field, which she now invests her focus in. Her lessons are individually structured to teach better communication between horse and rider, so they can build a positive, confident and harmonious connection.
